HighTec C/C++ Compiler Suite Supports Nuclei System Technology’s RISC-V IP for High Safety and Security Applications in Automotive

HighTec’s automotive-grade LLVM open-source-based C/C++ compiler tools are safety-qualified according to ISO 26262 up to ASIL D. In the past two years, Nuclei has received two Exida ASIL-D product certifications for its NA300 and NA900 cores, confirming the high security and reliability of Nuclei’s automotive-grade products and showcasing its capabilities in developing CPU IP. This achievement is significant not only for Nuclei but also for the entire RISC-V ecosystem in automotive electronics. With this certification, Nuclei becomes the first RISC-V CPU IP vendor in the world to achieve ASIL-D product certification, aiming to bolster the confidence of both domestic and international customers in using RISC-V for automotive chip manufacturing.

 

The HighTec C/C++ automotive compiler is designed to meet all technical requirements necessary to fully leverage the powerful performance and unique safety features of Nuclei’s RISC-V cores. Based on modern LLVM (Low Level Virtual Machine) open-source technology, the compiler is renowned across the industry for its fast build times and advanced code optimizations. HighTec’s functional safety certified C/C++ compiler also includes a qualification toolkit, which accelerates the development and certification of functional safety automotive applications.
